Alivio Medical Center is presented prestigious Quality Improvement Awards
Congratulations to Alivio Medical Center for receiving a National Quality Leader award and Health Center Quality Leader award as part of Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Quality Improvement Awards. Yesterday, HRSA announced monetary awards to 1,352 community health centers across all U.S. states, territories and the District of Columbia.
Alivio Medical Center (AMC) exceeded national clinical quality benchmarks, including Healthy People 2020 goals, in chronic disease management, preventive care, or perinatal/prenatal care.
AMC was also the only health center in Illinois who achieved the best overall clinical performance among all health centers, placing in the top 30% of the adjusted quartile rankings for clinical quality measures. HRSA’s Quality Improvement Awards recognize the highest performing health centers nationwide as well as those health centers that have made significant quality improvement gains from the previous year.
AMC, a Community Health Center, has been providing primary and specialty healthcare as well as support services to families, seniors and people with disabilities for more than 29 years. AMC serves families and individuals who historically have had limited access to healthcare for many reasons including: language and cultural barriers, intimidation of traditional healthcare institutions, limited awareness of available resources and/or fear of seeking help due to immigration status. Consequently, health promotion, education and prevention are integral parts of our comprehensive programs. Alivio’s bilingual, bicultural providers serve all patients regardless of ability to pay.
